Boccia regional finals in Birmingham.

Yesterday, our amazing students participated in the Boccia regional finals in Birmingham.

Unlike the county championships, this competition was run according to very strict Boccia England rules (the same as used in the Paralympics) which are significantly different to those which they were used to previously. They adjusted amazingly and competed well in all three games.

They lost the first game on the last throw and won all three 'ends' of the last game. Overall, they won more 'ends' than they lost (won 5, lost 4) and came third in their group, narrowly missing the quarter finals.

They were once again  impeccably behaved in unfamiliar surroundings and around unfamiliar people, and made the staff team very proud!
