All children and families have access to the special school nurse service at Isebrook.

Service Aims:

• To provide all children and young people in special schools with a child-centred, holistic and equitable service.
• To focus our aims as a service to meet the needs of the school population now and in the future.
• To ensure we have a flexible approach to meeting the needs of our children, young people and their families.

We will:

• Perform health assessments
• Train and support identified education staff
• Provide drop-in sessions at secondary schools
• Provide telephone support for parents and carers
• Attend reviews where a health need has been identified
• Offer continence support
• Deliver vaccinations programmes
• Offer health promotion
• Participate with safeguarding children in collaboration with education and social care
