Students were given a fantastic opportunity to visit Foundry Education in Rushden, where they took part in an inspiring session focused on something incredibly important, how learning environments can be designed to better support young people with SEND.
On 26th March, a small group of learners from Isebrook School took part in an exciting and immersive visit to Citrus Training, where they explored the world of construction first-hand.
There was a fantastic buzz in the air as Isebrook School hosted a hugely successful quiz night in support of The Lewis Foundation, and what a night it was!
Brilliantly organised by two of our amazing students as part of their work experience, the event was a true showcase of student leadership, teamwork and community spirit. From planning and coordination to hosting on the night, they played a key role in making the evening such a success.
On 12th March, Harry joined other Post‑16 students from across the East Midlands to take part in the Holocaust Education Trust’s Lessons from Auschwitz project. It was an incredibly long and emotional day—beginning with a 3am pick‑up from school and ending close to midnight after flights, coaches, and visits to both Auschwitz I and Auschwitz‑Birkenau.
On 2nd March, our students proudly opened our new Pre‑Loved Uniform & Stationery Shop in our school bungalow as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Volunteering Award—and it has already become a project full of pride, purpose and community spirit. From sorting donations to welcoming families, students have taken the lead with enthusiasm, maturity and genuine care.
Our school came alive with colour, laughter and incredible student talent as we proudly hosted the Isebrook Easter Enterprise Fayre. Students from every pathway came together to create a truly joyful event, filled with handmade crafts, delicious treats, tombolas and interactive games. The atmosphere was buzzing from the moment the doors opened.
Students at Isebrook School embraced this year’s National Careers Week, held from 2nd–7th March, under the inspiring theme “Own Your Future”. A wide range of engaging activities provided students with meaningful insight into the world of work and future opportunities.
UNICEF UK has recognised Isebrook School for its commitment to promoting children’s rights, awarding the school the prestigious Silver Award as part of the nationally recognised Rights Respecting Schools programme.
A newly refurbished bungalow at Isebrook School, part of Creating Tomorrow Trust, has been officially opened by Mayor Ben Jameson, marking an important milestone in the school’s commitment to preparing students for adulthood.
